Entrepreneurship & Work
Process Analyst <small style="margin-left: 10px">Grupo Jaime Câmara - Brazil - 2016 ~ 2017</small>
With the full support of the company presidency and the IT department directorship, I was able to establish excellent relations with all the sales departments of the organization, resulting on the transformation and optimization of how sales were done. With a fully integrated process, from the lead to the customer, from the idea to the publication of the media on any of the cited vehicles, I've felt that my job wasn't done until I was able to provide decision-targeted reports to all my internal customers. So, in my last act during my journey on the company, I led the data analysis team to implement on Microsoft Power BI award winning dashboards which from the salesperson to the company CEO all the information was beautifully displayed on an organized and intuitive manner.

At the end of the research, I presented my work to the State University of New York at Oswego Engineering Advisory Board (EAB) by conducting a live demonstration with the robot. The EAB praised my accomplishments and stated that the project meets the board's vision to contribute a new generation of diverse, exceptionally well-prepared engineers for early leadership success in industry or graduate school.

About Me
Hi there, pleased to meet you! My name is José, and I was born in Brazil in 1993. It would be no exaggeration to say that my story with computers started when I was four years old. As a little child, I was amazed about different technologies and wanted to understand how electronic equipment worked from the inside. Being that curious, I used to dissemble (and build up again) telephones, VCRs, radios, and all kinds of electronic equipment in order to grasp their functioning.
My father was a Systems Analyst, and after he retired, he continued to work freelancing by fixing computers. I enjoyed watching him work for hours, immersed and interested in what he was doing. It was not long until I realized that I was already fixing computers myself. So, during elementary, middle and high school, I used my free time to fix computers and earn some extra money. By the time I finished high school, I was fully sure that Computer Engineering was the right career for me.
A lot of water has flowed under the bridge, and now I am a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the School of Engineering of Federal University of Goiás. During my college education (I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Goiás which I received in 2017 and 2019 respectively), I had a lifetime opportunity. I was granted a full scholarship from Brazil’s National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) to study Electrical and Computer Engineering in the United States for the Fall of 2013.
At the State University of New York at Oswego (SUNY Oswego), I led a robotics research based on a Baxter Research Robot unit. Coding mainly with Java and Python, I implemented many demos for the robot and created a GUI that removed all the complexity of running tasks. Studying and working in the U.S. was a transformative and successful experience. My grades reflected my dedication and commitment: I finished my studies at SUNY Oswego with a 3.83 GPA. In December of 2014, I left the U.S. and returned home to Brazil.
Over the past years, I've been dedicating my time to the academia and to the businesses that I founded. I'm a very active and curious person, always eager to learn more and more. I love my family, my wife, my kittens, my job, my life! I keep pushing to be better in every aspect that I can, and I'm really blessed for all I have. I'm obsessed with any space related thing, a passion that I inherited from my late father, and I think that this is the best time to be alive and testify humans becoming an interplanetary species. I'm also a huge fan of Formula 1, and I think this is getting too long. Wanna get to know me more? Get in touch!
